GPS Map Camera : Timestamp Privacy Policy

Effective date: 10 October 2026

This policy describes the Android app GPS Map Camera : Timestamp (package com.geoframe.camera), provided by Cogninive String Team.

Photos, videos, and device storage

Camera capture, stamp rendering, preview, and the in-app gallery run on your device. Captured photos and silent videos are saved locally and may include the location and timestamp you choose in the visible stamp; photos may also contain GPS metadata. The app does not upload your media to a server operated by the developer. If you choose Android sharing or export, the selected media is sent to the destination app or service you select.

Location and sensors

With your permission, the app reads precise device location while you use the camera to add location details to a capture. You may deny location access and enter a location manually. Compass and other sensor readings used for stamp details are processed on-device. The app does not request background location or microphone access; recorded video is silent.

Online map, address, and weather services

When you use address lookup, weather, or map features, the app sends the selected coordinates to the relevant service and requests map tiles for the displayed area. Providers used by the app include OpenStreetMap/Nominatim, Open-Meteo, and Esri/ArcGIS; a map layer may open Google Maps. These providers may receive coordinates, your IP address, and other request information and handle it under their own policies. These features require an internet connection. The developer does not control provider retention.

Accounts, advertising, and analytics

The app does not provide developer-operated accounts, advertising, analytics, or a server that stores your photos. It does not send media to the developer. The service requests described above are the app’s third-party network activity.

Permissions and your choices

Camera permission enables the viewfinder and capture. Foreground location permission enables device GPS stamps. Android media permissions support saving and viewing captures where required by your Android version. You can change permissions in Android Settings. Denying location disables automatic device GPS stamping; manual location entry remains available.

Retention and deletion

The in-app gallery and preferences are stored on your device. Delete a capture in the app to remove its in-app copy. Exported copies in Photos or other apps are managed separately. Uninstalling the app removes its app data. Location requests already sent to independent providers are subject to their own retention and deletion practices.

Children

This general-purpose camera utility is not designed specifically for children. It has no developer-operated account or server that collects children’s information.
